Open Singles Event, Pittsboro, NC, October 7
CAROLINA CARROM CLUB
The open singles event was
rained out last weekend. There was beautiful
weather on Thursday, and again on Monday, but Friday
through Sunday was
miserably cold and rainy. We had a nice field of at
least 12 players,
including four from Richmond, so it was really a
shame it did not happen. It
would have really impressed all the festival goers
who were anxious to see
top players in action. We still had nine demo boards
set up and they were in
almost constant play. Saroj Parikh was the only USCA
member to attend as we
called all others and told them not to come, unless
they were interested in
helping teach newcomers. We hope to reschedule
within the next month, but if
we can't pull it off before November 6 we'll try
again in December.
